spiral wound gasket

Spiral wound gasket is formed of metallic stripe and soft nonmetallic tape by piled, spiral wound and connected its end and beginning by dot welded. Depend on excellent compression resilient, it is suitable for sealing spots where the alteration of temperature and pressure are frequent. It can be used as the static sealing element of pipe, valve, pump, thermal exchange, condensing tower, plain hole and man hole of flange, etc. It has been widely applied in the fields of petrochemical, mechanical manufactory, power station, metallurgy, ship-building, medical and pharmaceutical, nuclear power station and navigation, etc.

Features:

1) Consists of "V-shape" (or "W-shape") metal tape and nonmetal tape, which are overlapped each other and wound continuously.

2) To fasten the metal tape, both its start point and end point are tack welded.

3) Types: a) R type: spiral winding only

               b) IR type: spiral winding with inner ring

               c) CG type: spiral winding with outer guide

               d) CGI type: spiral winding with outer guide and inner ring.

4)material: metal ring include SS304, SS316,SS316L, carton steel

                nontal ring include graphite strip, ceramic strip, asbestos strip, teflon strip.
